Drug Awareness Education:  The Elks are committed to eliminating the use and abuse of illegal drugs by all members of society and believe that in order to ensure a bright future for our country, it is essential that our children be raised in a drug-free environment.  Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free. The Elks National Drug Awareness Program strives to teach all children and parents about the dangers of illegal drug use and prevent substance abuse.   Visit http://elkskidszone.org/  for fun activities for children and parental resources.

Each year the Elks National Foundation provides more than $3.65 million in college scholarships to graduating seniors.  All across the nation our Elk State Associations also sponsor programs to build stronger communities by assisting those in need through scholarships, medical research, recreational opportunities, and lots more.  Like more information, please  call us at 915-532-4441  or email us at elpaso187@gmail.com

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the USA has joined forces with Donate Life America to increase donations of organs, eyes and life-saving tissue.

The Grand Lodge Fraternal Committee is asking all Elks to join the Organ Donor Program to make these life-saving donations.

Even though 95% of Americans are in favor of being a donor, only 54% of the U.S. adult population, are registered organ, eye and tissue donors. Nationally, nearly 33,600 patients began new lives in 2016 thanks to organ transplants. 683,000 have taken place since 1988. Every year 1.5 million tissue transplants are performed. 48,000 patients have their sight restored through corneal transplants each year and 1,500,000 since 1961! Unfortunately, 119,000 men, women and children currently need life-saving organ transplants. Then, add another name to the national organ transplant waiting list every 10 minutes. No wonder an average of 22 people die each day from the lack of available organs for transplant!

We Elks Members can help close the gap! For more information on the importance of donation and how to become a registered donor in your state, log on to www.donatelife.net
